The site for Pauly CPA loads over plain http. There is no certificate on it at all, so typing the https address returns nothing. Every current browser marks a page like that Not Secure in the address bar, and it does it on the same form where somebody is being asked for their name and phone number before tax season. It also does not resize on a phone. This page is a demonstration of what the same practice could look like fixed. Ring (419) 281-9656 or walk in at 535 Claremont Avenue.
This is not a rewrite of what Pauly CPA does. Every service listed here is taken off paulycpa.com and off the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce listing, which agree with each other. The practice describes itself as a full service accounting firm covering personal, business, governmental, educational and agricultural work. The problem is not the content. The problem is that the content sits on a page with no certificate, an empty viewport tag, and a warning about ancient browsers pointing at a Google product that was discontinued in 2014. Ring (419) 281-9656 or write to info@paulycpa.com.
Returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and non profit organizations, in the practice's own words, with agricultural and real estate tax matters called out as a specialty. The published price for a 1040 return is $350 to $500, and state, school district and city returns are $35 each.
Portfolio management, retirement planning, estate planning, education funding and long and short term strategic planning, all listed on their own Services page. Ring (419) 281-9656 to talk about any of it.
Custom payroll processing with direct deposit, electronic filing, city filing, insurances and child support checks. Quarterly payroll report processing is published at $150. W2 and 1099 processing are published at $9.50 each with a $50 minimum.
Bank reconciliation and bookkeeping are published at $50 an hour, and sales tax computation and filing at $45. The practice also offers interim tax filings and help setting up your own accounting process.
Partnerships and corporations are both published at $550 plus additional schedules where needed. Additional schedules are published as roughly $50 to $100 depending on the schedule and the time it takes.
Two things most accounting practices do not advertise and this one does. Notary public services are listed, and so is diagnosing accounting system problems and helping with QuickBooks and Peachtree.
Publishing your prices is unusual and it is a real advantage. Most accounting practices make you ring up to find out what a 1040 costs. Pauly CPA puts the numbers on a page. That page is currently served over plain http, does not resize on a phone, and sits behind a homepage that tells the visitor their browser is ancient. The images below are stock, because this is a demonstration and no photograph of the Ashland office was taken for it.
This is the number on the practice's own contact page and on the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce listing, and both agree. The fax, 419-207-0563, is published too. This is the route that works today and the one to use before filing season when the diary fills up.
This address is the destination of the contact form on their own site, printed in the page itself. It is a real address for the practice. It is not shown to visitors anywhere on any page, which means a person who would rather write than ring has no obvious way to do it.
The only online contact route on the current site is a form with three fields and a question that reads: what is two plus two. That is a spam filter from a different decade, and it is the last thing between a prospective client and this practice. There is no email address shown, no appointment picker, and no confirmation that anything was received.
Open 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with Saturdays and evenings by appointment, which matters enormously between January and April. Those hours are published on the Chamber listing and not on the practice's own site, which is covered below.
Here is exactly what is in the code of paulycpa.com today, read off the live pages. The site is served over plain http and there is no certificate at all, so requesting the https address does not time out, it returns nothing. Every browser shipping in 2026 puts Not Secure next to a page like that, and it does it on the page where a visitor is typing their name and phone number. The head of the document contains a viewport tag with an empty value, which is why the site does not adapt to a phone, and an empty description tag sitting underneath a real one. The copyright meta tag reads 2017 while the visible footer prints 2026, so the code and the page disagree with each other. The author tag credits Armordyne Computer Solutions. The homepage still opens with a message telling the visitor their browser is ancient and offering Google Chrome Frame, which Google discontinued in 2014, so anybody who follows that advice is being sent to a dead end. The pages are .php files from an older way of building sites, and the map on the contact page does not render. None of this says anything about the quality of the accounting. Douglas E. Pauly is a CPA and a Personal Financial Specialist with an MBA from Ashland University and a degree from Ohio State, with more than twenty five years behind him. That is exactly the point. The practice is in much better shape than the page representing it.
Straight answer about where these hours come from, because it is worth saying. 8am to 5pm Monday thru Friday, Saturdays and Evenings by Appointment, is what the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce publishes for this practice. It is not on paulycpa.com. The practice's own site does not state its hours anywhere, not on the homepage and not on the contact page. That means the opening times a client reads sit on a directory the practice does not control, and the Saturday and evening availability, which is the single most useful fact about an accountant in March, is invisible to anybody who only looks at the practice's own site. Ring (419) 281-9656 and ask what this week looks like.
This one is consistent, which is worth saying after everything above. 535 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, OH 44805 appears on the practice's own contact page and on the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce member listing, and the phone (419) 281-9656 and the fax 419-207-0563 match on both. The one thing that does not work is the map. The Google Maps embed on the contact page fails to render and shows a raw maps address instead of a map, so a visitor who wanted directions gets a line of text. Ring (419) 281-9656 or write to info@paulycpa.com.
No arithmetic question, no ancient browser warning, and it resizes on a phone. This form is part of a demonstration and it does not reach Pauly CPA. On a real version it would land wherever the practice wanted it. Until then, ring (419) 281-9656 or write to info@paulycpa.com.
Nothing on this page is tax advice and nothing here is an offer of professional services. Rough Looking Website builds web pages and is not an accounting practice. The dollar figures shown are the practice's own published prices, copied from their pricing page, and they are subject to whatever the practice says they are today. Anything that matters should be confirmed on the phone.
$49 one time setup, then $79/month, no contract. Hosting, lead capture, traffic tracking, and your own dashboard are all included.
